The UNC Board of Governors establishes the tuition and fee structure for the program during spring of the prior academic year. The cost of attendance varies semester to semester contingent a students enrollment (full or part-time), residency status (resident or non-resident), and associated university and program fees. The University has developed a matrix to assist students in projecting the annual cost of attendance. It should be noted that the matrix does not include incidental expenses such as transportation, parking, housing, etc. Current tuition and fees for resident and non-resident students enrolled in the Data Science and Business Analytics program can be found at this link: Current DSBA Tuition and Fees.
The state of North Carolina has a differential tuition for residents and non-residents. The Residency Determination Office is responsible for reviewing all applicants to assign the appropriate residency classification consistent with the requirements of the state law and provisions of the North Carolina State Residence Classification Manual. More information about residency determination can be found on their website.
Cost of Attendance & International Students
For international students, the International Student Scholars Office (ISSO) develops an annual estimate of costs for a non-resident, full-time enrolled student in the Data Science & Business Analytics program. A detailed breakdown for the 2018-2019 academic year can be found here.
